what's new

We survived 2020 and our now entering our 8th year – ring in 2021!

We are grateful for the enduring support we have received since our inception in December of 2013 from our unwavering Board of Directors, our generous donors, and the hundreds of individuals who attend our seminars & events annually.  We strive to bring you entertaining, enriching & affordable learning opportunities; support our artists living well with mental health issues by sharing and selling their art; and employ individuals living well with mental health conditions.  We update our website regularly and now offer hundreds of Continuing Education credits for mental health professionals annually.  Please visit often and spread the word!  Mental health is everyone’s business!

Thanks to all of you and the magic of Zoom, we had a banner year:

  • In 2020 we developed seven brand new self study seminars, presented six CONNECTING DOTS series (five of them hybrids – self study + Zoom-live-in-person), presented several pre-pandemic in-class seminars, and dozens of hybrid (self study + Zoom-live-in-person) seminars during the pandemic. We provided thousands of continuing education contact hours, to hundreds of mental health professionals all over NY State. We are delighted that psychologists will be participating in our learning seminars 2021.

  • We will continue to provide self study and hybrid seminars (self study + Zoom-live-in-person) for the foreseeable future, so that mental health professionals can conveniently join us from far and near.

  • We have kept our promise to hard-working mental health professionals not to raise the prices of our seminars, nor compromise the quality of our work.

  • I continue to devour hundreds of new movies every year in search of the precious few that will inspire new subjects.

  • In 2020 we presented an array of brand new topical subjects including:  CONNECTING DOTS: the impact of global diseases on mental health, THE CONSEQUENCES OF REMOTE LEARNING ON MENTAL HEALTH, and JUST MERCY: the criminal (in)justice system.

  • In 2021, we have created more new seminars and reprised old favorites.

  • I was honored that my one-woman show BIPOLAR & THE ENGLISH CHANNEL was selected to be presented Off-Broadway in the winter of 2020 – but then came COVID and all of NYC’s theaters shut down.  We hope to be back in 2021 and present BIPOLAR & THE ENGLISH CHANNEL Off Broadway in NYC as well as London!

  • For the FIFTH straight year in a row, despite the ravages of COVID-19, thanks to grants, donations, tuitions, and your unflagging support – we hit break even.
