Now entering our 4th year!

December 31, 2016 the Frank Ridge Memorial Foundation, Inc. celebrated our 3rd Anniversary.  We are grateful for the incredible support we have received since our inception from our unwavering Board of Directors, all of our donors, and the individuals who attend our seminars & events each year.  We work hard to bring you enjoyable & enriching learning opportunities; support our artists living well with mental health issues by sharing and selling their art; and employing individuals living well with mental health conditions.  We update our website frequently and offer a multitude of fun-filled learning seminars every quarter.  Please visit often and spread the word!  Mental health is everyone’s business!

We are proud to announce that the New York State Office of the Professions has approved the Frank Ridge Memorial Foundation, Inc. as an approved provider of Continuing Education credits (CEs) for NY State licensed Mental Health Counselors (#0010), Marriage & Family Therapists (#0014) & Psychoanalysts (#P-0018), effective January 1, 2017. We have been a proud provider of CEs for NY State licensed Social Workers since March, 2015 (#0096).

2016 was a big year. With your support & kindness:

  • We provided 25 learning seminars, including 4 CONNECTING DOTS seminar series. Hundreds of individuals attended our classes & Symposium. Over 1,000 CEs were earned by NY licensed Social Workers. Our participants enjoyed learning through open conversation and fabulous films. Fountain House catered all of our seminars with delicious, bounteous and healthy food.
  • We hosted our “2nd Annual Symposium: Taking Responsibility. Applauding accurate and compassionate portrayals of mental health conditions in film, television, theater and media” on Sunday, September 25th, 2016 in mid-town Manhattan. Guest artist, the incomparable Anita Hollander sang and wowed us all.  The event was catered scrumptiously by Fountain House (of course!).
  • We held 3 online auctions with Bidding for Good, selling autographed Broadway posters & memorabilia, art created by people living well with mental health conditions and more.  We sold over a dozen works of art created by talented individuals living well with mental health issues and disabilities in our auctions. The majority of art sales went to the artists.
  • And, thanks to a generous grant from the Susan Zirkl, z”l, Memorial Charitable Foundation, who bestowed the greatest of Hanukah miracles, we BROKE EVEN for the FIRST TIME in our 3 year history!!!

We are pleased to be playing to packed houses.  Learning can be fun and educational.  Healthy refreshments catered by Fountain House are served at all of our events.
