Our Mission

Established in December, 2013, the Frank Ridge Memorial Foundation is dedicated to living well with mental health conditions through awareness and understanding. We strive to accomplish this mission each year by:

  • Delivering learning seminars and CONNECTING DOTS seminar series to community members, individuals impacted by mental health conditions, and NY licensed social workers, mental health professionals and NY psychologists.  Through film, conversation and resource-rich take-home materials, our seminars explore the complex world of mental health diagnoses and global issues that impact mental health.  The Frank Ridge Memorial Foundation, Inc. is a NY State Education Department’s State Board approved provider for Continuing Education contact hours (CEs) for NY licensed Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, Creative Arts Therapists, Psychoanalysts, and Psychologists. We keep our costs low ($20-25 per contact hour) in an effort to offer high quality learning seminars at affordable prices. View our current offers by pressing the REGISTER FOR EVENTS & SEMINARS button.
  • Offering meaningful part-time employment opportunities for individuals managing mental health issues.
  • Providing opportunities for people with disabilities and mental health concerns to share and sell their art (e.g. photography, painting, drawing, music, film) in our bi-annual online auctions.
  • Maintaining our up-to-date, user-friendly, resource-rich website which includes: recommendations for literature and films that compassionately portray mental health conditions; recommendations for accurate, up-to-date web sites; and reliable hotline numbers for those at risk of suicide.

The Frank Ridge Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public corporation.  We rely on your support to continue our work.  Alcohol will never be served at our events: we are proud to provide a sober setting.
