REGISTRATION IS OPEN thru August, 2017.  The Frank Ridge Memorial Foundation, Inc. (a 501(c)3 non-profit) is recognized by the NY State Education Department’s State Board as an approved provider of Continuing Education Credits (CEs) for all NY licensed Social Workers (#0096), Mental Health Counselors (#0010), Marriage & Family Therapists (#0014) and Psychoanalysts (#P-0018).* 

Each year, we host several CONNECTING DOTS film series (worth 12 – 15 NY SED live-in-person approved CEs); individual seminars (worth 3 – 6 NY SED live-in-person approved CEs); and a free half day Symposium. We provide healthy refreshments catered by Fountain House at all of our events.

Through lovingly selected movies and lively conversation (enhanced by resource-rich, take-home materials), we provide a FUN, warm, intimate, highly interactive atmosphere conducive to higher learning. All of our seminars are LIVE-IN-PERSON. Seminars are facilitated by Julie Ridge, LCSW-R a master trainer with over 25 years experience teaching and working with children, adolescents, families, foster parents and professionals.

Below are the dates for the balance of our 2017 seminars. REGISTRATION is NOW OPEN for all July and August classes. Please register at your earliest convenience.  Our July and August seminars are almost full.

REGISTER below for “Beyond Disruptive Behavior Disorders: investigating sociopathy and psychopathy.” Note: this seminar features a documentary about a notorious serial killer. All of our seminars have been approved for NY SED CE credit.  To schedule custom tailored seminars for your organization, see our Seminars pulldown tab for our menu.

*NY LMSWs, LCSWs, LMHCs, LMFTs and LPs must receive 36 CEs every 3 years to renew their license.  24 of those CEs must be live-in-person. For more information about Continuing Education credits go to the New York State Office of the Profession’s website at:  www.op.nysed.gov/prof   Select your profession, then click on Continuing Education on the left for requirements and listing of approved agencies. 

Note: NY State allows social workers and mental health practitioners licensed in more than one discipline to receive CEs for each license in our seminars. There is no State restriction as to how many of your 36 credits you can earn from a single provider or within a single year.

Cancellation Policy:  In case of inclement weather, we will notify you within 24 hours seminar time if we must cancel.  You will be given the option to come on the rescheduled date, or credit your tuition to a future seminar, or receive a refund.  Participant cancellations received more than 7 days in advance can be applied to future seminars or receive a 75% refund.  Cancellations received up to 48 hours in advance of seminar receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 48 hours from seminar date or no shows, receive no refund or credit.  In case of serious emergency (e.g. accident, hospitalization, death of a loved one), contact us and we will do our best to work with you. Because your credit card information is encrypted for your protection, refunds are issued by check.

We serve healthy refreshments, catered by Fountain House, at all of our seminars. Note that alcohol will never be served at our events.  We are proud to provide a safe and sober environment.
