The Frank Ridge Memorial Foundation, Inc. is a NY State Ed approved provider for Continuing Education contact hours (CEs) for ALL NY licensed Psychologists (#PSY-0009), Social Workers (#SW-0096), Mental Health Counselors (#MHC-0010), Marriage & Family Therapists (#MFT-0014), Creative Arts Therapists (#CAT-0065), and Psychoanalysts (#P-0018). ALL of our self study, Live-online (via Zoom), and fully Live-in-Person seminars are NY SED approved for CE contact hours.
Now, proudly celebrating our TENTH year, our specialty is finding accurate, responsible, compassionate depictions of mental health conditions and topical issues in movies. Using film as the springboard for conversation, our goal is to provide seminars that inspire, excite and invite provocative thought. Film viewing is supported with up-to-date, comprehensive take-home study materials. Seminars are created and facilitated by Julie Ridge, LCSW-R, a master trainer with over 30 years of teaching experience. Our refund policy is at the bottom of this page.
IMPORTANT UPDATE from the NY State Education Office of the Professions: Beginning April 1, 2023, all mental health professionals (social workers, mental health counselors, creative arts therapists, psychoanalysts, marriage & family therapists, and psychologists) must complete at least 3 hours of a State approved course in “Maintaining Professional Boundaries with Clients” within every 3-year renewal cycle. Our upcoming CONNECTING DOTS: mental health professionals in movies series, beginning in March and concluding in April, satisfies this requirement.
